Terms and Conditions

By paying a fee you agree to our terms and conditions.

Enrolment

Use the enrolment form provided on our website (https://siegerisdance.co/enrolment/).
Complete one form per child you are applying for.
Complete in full your contact details, and your child’s details.
List each individual class that you wish your child to attend.

A student / parent cannot act on behalf of another student / parent.

Trial Class

SD welcomes all new pupils to the school by offering a free trial class.
Trial classes can be scheduled anytime during the term where space allows.
Fees will be due after the trial if you wish to continue, we will issue an invoice upon receiving advice of continuation.
If you start part way through a term the payment will be due only for the weeks after the trial and this will be calculated for you and due in full before the next class.

De-Registration

If you no longer wish to return at this time please give six weeks notice by email only during half term break.

Deregistrations received after half term will not be processed and you will be invoiced for the upcoming term.

A student / parent cannot act on behalf of another student / parent.

Term Fees

Term fees are to be paid in advance per term to secure your place, please note some classes have waiting lists.
Term fees will be automatically renewed three weeks before the end of the current term.
If you have two children at the school you will receive 10% discount on the younger child’s term fees.
If you have twins at the school you will receive 10% discount on your full fees.
Term fees are not refundable.
Term fees cannot be carried forward.
Term fees are not transferable from one child to another whether in the same family or not.
Term fees are subject to change at the beginning of the academic year.
Term fees can only be paid directly via the link provided on your invoice.
There will be a 10% surcharge (as from Summer Term 2018) for each payment that is overdue by 14 calendar days.

RAD Ballet Exams / ISTD Tap & Modern Exams

Exam fees must be paid before the examination date and are generally non refundable.
Payments can be made either via the link provided in your invoice or by bank transfer.
If you miss the payment before the due date your child will not be able to take part in the exam.
If you do not wish for your child to attend the exam please inform us via email.
Any pupil who cannot take the exam due to illness will require a doctor’s letter in order to obtain a refund of the exam fee only.

Show Fees

Show fees are to be paid in advance and are non refundable.
You will be invoiced via email.
Show fees can be either paid via the link provided in your invoice or by bank transfer.
If you miss the payment before the due date your child will not be able to participate in the show.

Missed Classes

We regret to inform you that classes missed for whatever reason will not be refundable under any circumstances, however make up classes are available.
Students will be able to make up any missed classes during the current term.
This depends on available space in a similar class. Pupils cannot do a makeup class in a full class.
Please notify the office via email and we can book a makeup class for you.

Timetable

Siegeris Dance Ltd reserves the right to alter the timetable at any given time and without notice.
In case of individual sessions being cancelled, SD will refund the required fee if the session cannot be made up elsewhere.
Where this occurs we will endeavour to notify pupils either by email, text or phone call.

Liability

All teachers are fully qualified, DBS checked and insured.
However, due to the nature of teaching dance sometimes it is necessary to correct dance positions physically to coincide with verbal instruction.
This is always conducted with the utmost care and professionalism and only with the child’s permission.
Parents must adhere to their responsibilities listed below. We do not accept liability for death or personal injury to any child attending class.
Neither the school (SD) nor the halls will be liable for the loss or damage of any property belonging to the pupils.
We do not accept responsibility for loss or expense due to circumstances beyond our control including, transport, fire, weather and other such actions.

Parent Responsibilities

Kindly inform the office (info@siegerisdance.com) if relatives are visiting and wish to watch the lesson (15 minutes).

To make sure all contact details are up to date and provide several contact numbers in the unlikely case of an emergency.
Parents and Guardians of children under the age of five are requested to remain on the premises i.e. in the corridor or in the room, in case they are needed during class. Otherwise, please let the reacher know you will be stepping out and be reachable.
If a student is required to take medication whilst participating in SD dance activities, parents/carers should take full responsibility and ensure teaching staff are properly informed.
To make sure student attends class with the uniform specified and not variations or deviations or like for like models.
All items are to be named.
Items of uniform to be clean, good condition and of the correct size especially footwear.
Items of footwear are not permitted to be worn outside of the dance studio and alternative footwear should be worn to and from class.
Hair is to be of an appropriate style for the class to be taken. Hair should be brushed secured off the face and neck, out of the eyes thus not causing distraction to dancer.
Please ensure student has been to the toilet (needed or not) to avoid accidents and disruption of the class for the other dancers in attendance.
Please ensure that all children are collected on time at the end of their class/es by a parent or carer.
Please notify the teacher at the start of the class if someone else will be collecting your child.
If you are going to be late the child will remain in the studio with the teacher until you arrive.
To make the teacher aware of unusual circumstances that may affect the student’s well being i.e. injury, death of a family member, divorce or any other situation without meaning to be intrusive.
Any medical conditions, i.e. any learning difficulties, nut allergy sufferer, epileptic, asthma, diabetic, etc.
Any other conditions that may need special attention.

Pupils

Children develop at differing rates and therefore teachers will inform parents when it is time for their child to move up to the next class.
For some children, taking exams is not beneficial and parents will again be informed by the teacher when and if their child is being considered for entry.

Trainee RAD teachers

Occasionally trainee teachers from RAD Faculty of Education Programmes observe dance school classes.

Code of Conduct

Failure to observe our Code of Conduct (https://siegerisdance.com/code-of-conduct/) may result in a student being asked to leave. SD reserves the right to refuse any student prior to or after enrolment. No refund will be given if the Code of Conduct has been invoked.

Data Protection Regulations

SD will not disclose your information to third parties except where the law allows or requires, or where you have given your permission to do so.
Our clients details are being stored with google drive, membermeister.com, gocardless.com, docusign.co.uk, mailchimp.com and iZettle.com only. Membermeister.com, docusign.co.uk, mailchimp.com and iZettle.com will be in full compliance to the new GDPR from May, 25th 2018.

If you no longer wish to continue to be a customer at Siegeris Dance and hand in your half terms notice, we will archive your details in case you wish to return in the future. If you wish for your details to be fully deleted, please notify us via email (info@siegerisdance.com).

Miscellaneous  

If you wish to speak to someone in person you can contact us Mon to Fri from 9:30am to 12:00pm.

WhatsApp is not available.

Medical

The teachers will administer any immediate and/or necessary first aid treatment.

Photography and Film for Publicity

Photography and/or film may be made during class/performance by teachers/members of staff only. Photographs and/or film for publicity are to be found on instagram and facebook, siegerisdance.com, posters and/or flyers only. No names will be used in conjunction with the pictures / films taken and used.

Photography and Film on Parents Day

Due to child protection photography and/or film is not allowed to be made during class by parents or the teacher/assistant on Parents Day. Our teachers/assistants will schedule in 5 minutes at the end of class for parents to take a photo of their child(ren) with the teacher and/or assistant only.

Siegeris Dance has a zero tolerance on all bullying / abusive behaviour including social media and trolling. As soon as we are (made) aware of an incident we will do everything in our power to protect our pupils and other children involved.

By signing our terms and conditions you agree:

• Not to post any content or take any action on the internet/social media/etc that infringes or violates someone else’s rights or otherwise violates the law.

• Not to post any obscene, and/or abusive, offensive, discriminatory or racist material, comment and/or topic.

• Not to threaten anyone.

• Be respectful. One may not always agree, but disagreement is no excuse for poor manners. SD will not allow personal attacks. A community where people feel uncomfortable or threatened is not a productive one.

Members of Staff/Volunteer Protection

Marketing

Every customer will receive a marketing consent form via MailChimp that needs to be completed in order to indicate if they wish to receive our termly newsletter or marketing material.

SD reserves the right to change these terms and conditions at any time for the benefit of the business, staff or participants.
