"I want our students to find a love of dance in whatever career path they choose and want it to benefit them in all they do."
Jennifer Siegeris
My love for dance started as a child at the Irish Ballet School in Dublin. I was obsessed with ballet, telling everyone I wanted to be a "dancing girl" when I grew up. My favourite part of the week was rushing to class after school, especially when I got to help teach younger students. That passion only grew, and by the time I finished school, I knew I wanted to become a ballet teacher.
While training with the Royal Academy of Dance, I decided to explore professional dance opportunities to gain as much experience as possible before committing to full-time teaching. That led me to Laine Theatre Arts, where I spent three incredible years refining my technique, building confidence, and learning the discipline needed to be a valuable company member.
Beyond dance, I developed skills like teamwork, presentation, and professionalism, things I now pass on to my students knowing they’ll benefit in any career they choose.
Throughout my training, I continued teaching whenever I could, gaining experience at renowned ballet schools in Surrey and London. After completing my studies at Laine, I embarked on an exciting adventure - dancing on cruise liners while travelling the world.
But teaching remained my true passion, and when I returned, I resumed my previous teaching posts, including instructing professional students at Performance Preparation Academy (PPA) and Guildford School of Acting (GSA).
With my husband’s encouragement, I took a leap and started my own local ballet classes. It was a small beginning but it quickly grew.
Incredibly, some of those first students are still dancing at Siegeris Dance today, now part of our first Senior/Vocational group. Watching them develop into talented dancers has been one of the most rewarding parts of my journey.
