By paying a fee you agree to the following terms and conditions. Siegeris Dance may revise these terms and conditions from time to time. We will send all our customers a copy with the updated terms and conditions via Google Forms. Further, they are available to review at any time on our website.
Any changes to the terms and conditions will be made with half a term's notice.
By continuing to attend our dance classes after any changes to the terms and conditions take effect, you agree to be bound by those changes. You may notify Siegeris Dance of your objection to the proposed changes and therewith cancel your subscription of the dance classes in compliance with our cancellation policy by giving half a term’s notice. Any necessary editing, including typographical or calculation errors or other obvious mistakes, does not constitute an amendment to the terms and conditions.
We offer RAD and ISTD dance classes which are a service / leisure / recreational activity that takes place at a specific time:
IMPORTANT
Siegeris Dance has a zero tolerance for bullies. Our aim is to provide a happy, respectful, and fair environment whether in the office or in our dance classes. Our aim is to treat all our customers equally and with the highest respect. We are a kind and approachable business that always endeavours to be accommodating within our range of possibilities. We expect the same respect from all our customers in return. If that respect is not shown, Siegeris Dance reserves the right to exclude those customers from our services (see also: 18 CODE OF CONDUCT).
No bookings can be made over the phone but need to be made via email to the office.
Siegeris Dance welcomes all new pupils to the school by offering a trial class before signing up to any dance classes.
Trial classes can be scheduled anytime during the term apart from the last week and/or in classes that are fully booked and/or during a show term.
A trial class fee is due upon booking. The amount gets deducted from your first term fee upon your enrolment.
The class allocated for your trial class is the class you will continue with, should you wish to sign up.
The Trial Class Request From needs to be completed fully and correctly, providing all required details:
- You need to complete one form per child.
It is the customer's responsibility to give advice of continuation via email to the office after their trial class if they wish to commit to that class for the running and following terms.
Upon the receipt of your advice of continuation, we will open an account for you on our website with the details provided on your free trial class request form.
This will include setting up a subscription of the dance class(es) as well as issuing a pro rata invoice for the running term, including a one-off £30 enrolment fee.
The manual payment required to pay for your first term fee will set up an automatic termly renewal/direct debit until cancelled in compliance with our cancellation policy.
The username of your account is the email address provided on the trial class request form.
A temporary password will be sent to you together with your first invoice. It is the customer’s responsibility to change that password as soon as possible through their account under ‘Account Details’.
The payment for your dance classes needs to be made in advance, that means before your next class. If the payment does not reach us a day before your next class, we reserve the right to give that place to someone else.
Only new customers have the right to withdraw from their advice of continuation within 14 days after signing up for dance classes with us. (Any renewal orders are exempt from this rule.) If your term fee has been paid within those 14 days, we will refund the class fee based on your original payment method but retain the one-off £30 enrolment fee as an admin fee.
Please note that a student/parent cannot act on behalf of another student/parent.
With your first manual payment you will fully activate your termly subscription of the dance class(es) that has been set up by us after your advice of continuation as well as termly direct debit. This is held with stripe.com.
The subscription renews automatically via direct debit on the last weekday of each term. The exact date is announced in our Half Term Reminder Message.
Please note that you can only cancel your subscription via email to office.
To access your account, please go to https://siegerisdance.com/my-account/ and log into your account with the email address that you are registered with.
If there are any changes to your subscription required, please get in touch via email to info@siegerisdance.com as soon as possible. We will amend your subscription for you.
Please ensure that the payment method which will be charged with the direct debit is always up-to-date. You can do so at any time before the next term fee is due under 'Subscriptions'.
Our timetable is subject to change for each new term and we reserve the right to alter the timetable at any given time before, after and/or during the term and without notice.
The timetable preview for the upcoming term is sent out to each of our students during the week after our half term break at the latest. This ensures five weeks notice before the subscription renews automatically via direct debit. If you wish to change the allocated class, you need to contact the office via email.
Generally, we are not always able to guarantee a space in your preferred and/or a particular class as some classes are busier than others and may have a waiting list.
Any class placements follow a first come, first serve policy. Our existing customers with an active subscription have priority in the class placement process/on waiting lists.
If at all needed, you can move to a different class during the running term. But you need to contact the office via email.
If your child has taken an exam/class award and will automatically be due to move up to the next grade in the upcoming term, we will allocate a suitable class based on your current venue, day, time and/or your address.
Please note that class placements follow a first come, first serve policy.
Please note that a student / parent cannot act on behalf of another student / parent.
Some of our classes are invitation only classes and can only be taken alongside our graded classes. The office will be in touch with you if you/your child is considered ready to join an invitation only class.
As our dance classes only run during the academic school terms of the London Borough of Merton, cancelling your subscription with us requires half a term’s notice. Every customer receives a Half Term Reminder Message on the first day of the half term break.
If you are attending more than just one class, cancelling one or more classes on your subscription also requires half a term’s notice.
In total you have three weeks (half term plus two weeks after) to inform us about your request to deregister from your dance classes for the upcoming term.
Cancellations can only be processed if they have been given via email to the office and they will result in your subscription being cancelled with immediate effect to avoid you being charged for the upcoming term. Your details will be removed from our system at the end of the running term.
Any cancellation request sent to us three weeks after our half term break can be processed, but Siegeris Dance reserves the right to charge a late cancellation fee (50% of your term fee).
Any cancellations received after the subscription / direct debit has been processed cannot be accepted for the upcoming term but will be processed for the one after.
No refunds will be given.
PLEASE NOTE Late cancellations are crippling to a small business like ours. A timely cancellation is necessary to forward plan the timetable and give our teachers and studios plenty of notice that may affect their teaching and/or hiring hours. The running of our classes and our forward planning rely highly on student numbers. Teaching staff, halls hired, etc are calculated on those numbers in advance.
All payments need to be made through either your account on our website or via GoCardless. We are unable to accept payments via bank transfer or childcare vouchers.
You are welcome to request a later payment date to pay for your fee. You are welcome to request a payment plan (maximum of 3 instalments).
Siegeris Dance reserves the right to refuse to provide a later payment date and/or a payment plan.
Upon enrolment a one-off £30 enrolment fee will be due. This fee is non-refundable.
Term fees are to be paid in advance at the end of the current term to secure your place in class. They are not refundable, cannot be carried forward and are not transferable from one child to another whether in the same family or not.
Term fees for new customers can only be paid through the payment link on your term fee invoice. Thereafter they will renew automatically the following term via direct debit (stripe.com).
You will be notified about the renewal date in each term’s Half Term Reminder Message and you will receive your personal timetable the week after our half term break and your updated subscription will be able to view via your account on our website 14 days before the direct debit is being processed.
If you fail to make your payment in time, Siegeris Dance reserves the right to add a late fee. Our term fees are subject to change with half a term’s notice.
Please note that Siegeris Dance reserves the right to cancel any customer's subscription due to outstanding payments and remove them from the classes they are signed up for without any further notice.
Exam fees must be paid in advance and are non-refundable.
Payments can only be made through the payment link provided on your invoice or through your account on our website.
If you miss making the payment by the due date, your child will not be able to take part in the exam.
If you miss the due date but wish to enter your child late for the exam, an additional late fee of
£12.50 will be added to your exam fee.
Show fees are to be paid in advance and are non-refundable.
The payment date will be communicated clearly in an email that will reach you during the term before the show takes place.
Payments can only be made through the payment link on your invoice or your account on our website.
If you miss the payment before the due date or have not requested a later payment date/payment plan via email to the office, your child will not be allowed to participate in the show.
Summer School/Workshop fees are to be paid in advance and are non-refundable.
Payments can only be made through the payment link provided on your invoice or through your account on our website.
Private Coaching fees are usually due to be paid in advance but occasionally they also may be calculated after you received the service, for reasons of accuracy. We wish to avoid over/undercharging our customers.
All refunds are made based on your original payment method, unless otherwise advised by Siegeris Dance.
Siegeris Dance reserves the right to add a late fee to any outstanding payments, these are non-negotiable as chasing payments is a time consuming process that can be avoided by reaching out to us by contacting the office via email in a timely manner.
Siegeris Dance reserves the right to add any outstanding fee (services received: e.g. exam, coaching, show, etc.) to your automatic renewal order for the upcoming term if the payment has not been made by either the payment date displayed on your invoice and/or by the end of the running term.
If the term fee has not been paid by the beginning of the new term, we will add a 10% late fee to your outstanding balance.
If the exam fee is still outstanding after the exam/class award session took place, we will add a 10% late fee to your outstanding balance.
If you have two or more children enrolled at Siegeris Dance, you will receive a 10% Sibling Discount on the youngest child’s term fee.
If you have twins at the school, you will receive a 10% Twin Discount on both twins' term fees.
If you attend three or more genres, you will receive a 10% 3 Genre Discount on your full term fee.
If you attend three or more senior dance classes, you will receive a 10% 3+ Senior Dance Classes Discount on your full term fee.
If you attend a ballet and a modern dance class at Wimbledon Park Hall on Saturdays, you will receive a 10% Ballet & Modern @ WPH Discount on your full term fee.
If you attend two graded ballet, tap or modern dance classes, you will receive a 25% 2nd Graded Class Discount on your second graded class.
If we issue a credit note, we will store the balance safely in your 'Wallet' on your account on our website or apply it as a discount to your subscription for the next term straight away. If you have
a credit note in your 'Wallet' you may put it towards future payments (i.e. term fees, holiday classes, etc).
Credits are only valid for 3 terms from the date the credit was issued.
Missed classes are non-refundable. You are welcome to arrange a make-up class during the same term. This depends on available space in a similar class. Pupils cannot do a make up class in a full class or during the following term.
In case of individual sessions being cancelled by Siegeris Dance, we will schedule a replacement day at the end of the term. If this is not possible, we will issue a class credit and apply it to your next term fee. Where this occurs we will endeavour to notify pupils either by email, text message or phone call.
IMPORTANT
We will not refund / credit classes being cancelled due to circumstances beyond our control (see also: 15 LIABILITY DISCLAIMER).
Our teachers decide whether or not a student is ready to take the class award / exam and we will send out an invitation letter via email. This letter goes out at the beginning of a new term.
Taking an exam/a class award is not compulsory in order to progress through the grades.
Further information regarding class awards/exams can be found under ‘About: Exams’ and/or ‘About: Blog’.
- Children develop at differing rates. For some children taking exams is not beneficial and parents will again be informed by the office when and if their child is being considered for entry.
